Risk & Drawdown
Does the drawdown trail profits?
No. The breach threshold remains fixed to the starting balance, including after payouts.

The threshold does not move with profits
Perpify's maximum-loss threshold is static. It remains tied to the original starting balance rather than following the highest balance or equity achieved. Instant uses 4%; Evaluation and evaluation-funded use 6%.
Example with an Instant Account
A $5,000 Instant Account has a $4,800 breach threshold. If closed balance rises to $5,500, the threshold remains $4,800, not $5,300. The additional profit increases the equity cushion above the same fixed threshold.
If a $500 gross eligible payout is then reserved, balance falls to $5,000 while the threshold stays $4,800. The remaining cushion is $200 before open PnL and further costs. The post-split wallet amount and the gross account reservation are different numbers.
Static does not mean daily loss is absent everywhere
Instant has no separate daily loss limit. Evaluation and evaluation-funded accounts also use 3% daily equity loss from midnight UTC equity. That daily baseline can change between days even though the static maximum-loss level remains anchored to original size.
What moves during a trade
Market prices, unrealized PnL and account equity can move. Fees and funding can change balance. Your remaining distance to a fixed breach threshold can shrink quickly even when the threshold itself never moves.
Use the correct risk figure
Check equity and actual remaining risk capacity before a new order or payout. Do not use a past high-water balance, a chart's entry line or a general account-health score as the breach level.
If the account appears to use a trailing limit, confirm you selected the intended product and original size. Send support the account reference and displayed values so they can review the discrepancy.
