Risk & Drawdown

What is the maximum drawdown?

Instant Accounts have a static maximum drawdown of 4% of their starting balance: $200 on $5K, $400 on $10K and $1,000 on $25K. Evaluations and graduated funded accounts have 6% static drawdown.

A fixed equity threshold

Instant Accounts have 4% static maximum equity loss from their starting balance. Evaluations and evaluation-funded accounts have 6%. Static means the threshold does not trail profits or reset downward after a payout.

$25,000$1,000$24,000$1,500$23,500

Equity, not only closed balance

The limit includes open PnL through equity. A $5,000 Instant Account can breach when equity reaches $4,800 even if its closed balance has not yet fallen there. Trading commissions and funding also affect the account's capacity.

The health display is not a second drawdown formula. Use the actual equity threshold and remaining static risk capacity, not a general percentage badge, when planning risk.

Separate daily rule

Instant has no separate daily loss limit. Evaluations and graduated funded accounts also have a 3% daily equity-loss check measured from midnight UTC equity using the original size. Staying above the static threshold does not guarantee compliance with the daily rule.

Payout effects

A gross payout request lowers simulated balance through reservation, but its original breach threshold remains fixed. Withdrawing profit can therefore reduce the cushion available for future trading. It does not increase your permitted loss below the original threshold.

Planning and troubleshooting

Consider a plausible adverse price move, commissions and funding before entering a leveraged position. TP/SL execution can slip or wait for genuine depth, so a stop label is not a guarantee against breach.

If the displayed threshold seems wrong, verify the account type and original size. Contact support with the account reference rather than comparing an Evaluation's 6% allowance to an Instant's 4% rule.
