Trading & Orders

Why was my order rejected?

Orders are validated on our servers against account status, market status, size and price-tick rules, leverage caps, TP/SL direction and available simulated buying power. The reason is shown in the notification.

Read the server's reason first

Perpify validates orders on its servers. A rejection can concern the account, selected market, size, leverage, price grid, TP/SL direction, available buying power or genuine execution depth. The notification is more useful than assuming all failures mean insufficient balance.

Check in this order

  1. Account: confirm it is the intended active account, not breached or no longer in its trading stage.
  2. Market: confirm it is available and has verified supported specifications.
  3. Quantity: use the required quantity step and allowed size.
  4. Price: limit, TP and SL levels must sit on the instrument's tick.
  5. Leverage and margin: inspect the current cap, other positions and costs.
  6. Execution depth: fresh genuine liquidity must cover the request.

Common distinctions

A large headline balance does not guarantee available margin. Open positions, fees and risk limits can constrain a new order. Higher leverage does not eliminate the maximum-loss rule.

An insufficient-depth message is not necessarily a margin failure. The server can reject or wait when the genuine order book is unavailable or too thin. Reducing quantity may help a depth-limited request, but it does not fix an inactive account or off-grid price.

TP/SL and pending orders

For longs, TP belongs above entry and SL below; shorts reverse this relationship. If a position has already closed, a later attempt to edit its exit levels can fail. Pending limits also reserve or affect available exposure under the applicable checks.

Avoid repeated submission

After an uncertain network response, inspect orders and positions before pressing Buy or Sell again. A delayed response is not proof that the first request was rejected. Keep the request or order reference for support.

If the message persists after checking the inputs, send support the exact text, symbol, account and intended quantity/price. Never provide a fabricated quote or try to bypass server validation through another profile.
